The question of which treatments should be performed in which season often arises.
Basically, all minimally invasive aesthetic treatments are possible at any time of the year.
However, there are some that are more comfortable for the patient to undergo during the cooler half of the year.
Spider Vein Sclerotherapy
An example of this is the treatment of spider veins. The reason for this is that it is necessary to wear compression stockings for 4-7 days after the treatment. A measure that truly presents a ‘challenge’ in summer at 30 degrees Celsius. Another advantage of treatment in autumn and winter is that hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin), which is otherwise possible due to sun exposure, is unlikely in winter.
Peeling and Needling
The reduced sun exposure in the cooler season also makes autumn and winter the optimal time for peeling and microneedling, as the skin should absolutely be protected from sun exposure after the treatment. This is, of course, also possible in summer with a suitable product. However, if you’re planning a beach holiday for the summer, it’s better to postpone the peeling or microneedling treatment until afterwards.
Skinboosters and Profhilo
Especially in the colder season, when we constantly switch between cold air outside and dry heating air inside, our skin demands more moisture. Therefore, it’s particularly effective to work with skinboosters or Profhilo here, thus providing the skin with more moisture from within and helping it regain a healthy glow.
